A Brief History of Super Bowl Sunday.

The first Super Bowl was held in 1967, which was for the 1966 season. The Super Bowl was originally created as a rival gmae between the NFL(National Football Leagu) and the AFL (the American Football League) for the World Championship Game. After the game, the NFL and the AFL became "conferences" and play in the Super Bowl every year. Some quick facts to bring up at your Super Bowl party are: Super Bowl Sunday is second to Thanksgiving for food consumption, the 2015 Super Bowl was the most watched American Broadcast with an average of 114.4 MILLION viewers across the world, and You may have noticed that comercials leading up to the Super Bowl don't typically say "Gear up for the Super Bowl" rather they say "Gear up for the Big Game" because the NFL restricts the use of their trademark of the Super Bowl for non-sponsoring companies. Another large attracton of the Super Bowl are the pre-game and Half-time Preformances by artists such as Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, and Beyonce to name a few. Because the air time for comercials during the Super Bowl Season, companies tend to go all out for their comercials so their products can come off as more applealing opposed to their competitors. This year, the New England Patriots won against the Los Angeles Rams with a score of 13-3.
